Course Completion Form
The School of ECE has approved the following change to the MS degree requirements, to take effect in Summer 2008:
Currently: Group I (ECE 6000 level classes in one or two TIA's)
Previously: Group I (ECE 6000 level classes in a combination of two TIA's)
As the result of this change, there is now more flexibility in completing the coursework form. Sample course completion forms are given below; a and b versions correspond to the same set of courses, but different ways of grouping them.
Example 1a, Example 1b, Example 2a, Example 2b, Example 3a, Example 3b
Example 4a, Example 4b, Example 5a, Example 5b, Example 6a, Example 6b
See the ECE Graduate Handbook for instructions. Dual-MS degree program students should consult the course equivalency and credit transfer page before filling out the GT coursework form.
Courses – TIA classifications; note that some courses are cross-listed under different TIAs. ECE 6500 can be used as a DSP TIA or Modern Optics TIA or Systems & Controls TIA course. Enter the course grades that are already known.
Please use the Coursework Completion form on the ECE secure website:
https://secure2.ece.gatech.edu/PHP/gradforms/login.php
Revisions to the coursework planning form should be submitted whenever a
significant change is made in the student's study program.
Degree Petition
Degree petition materials are now available as downloads through the ECE website:
http://www.ece.gatech.edu/academics/internal/graduate/degree_petition/index.html
Dual-MS degree program students must provide updated SJTU graduate school transcripts (Chinese and English versions) when submitting the degree petition packet. Please include the “Request for Transfer Credit” form with your petition, and make sure that only approved SJTU courses are used for the credit transfer. Dual-MS degree program students do not need to submit “Descriptive Materials” and “Original letter from the Registrar” as indicated on the form. A sample completed "Request for Transfer Credit"
form can be found here.
SJTU students should obtain an Exit Survey, to be submitted with their petition materials, from Ms. Rui Shi.
Last revised on July 1, 2008.
