Early Application Period for Senior Students
We understand that some senior (4th year) undergraduate students would like to know their admissibility to GT-Shanghai before deciding whether to pursue graduate studies at SJTU as GT-SJTU Dual-MS degree program students. Our two minimal screening criteria are:
- GRE scores of at least 400/V, 700/Q, 3.5/AW
- GPA of at least 3.25 (on the 4.0 point scale)
If you will be a senior undergraduate student in Fall’2009, you meet the above two screening criteria, and have a high likelihood of being accepted by the SJTU graduate school waived of the national entrance exam, then you should consider applying to GT-Shanghai online by September 25, 2009. For those that can supply all application materials (official GRE and TOEFL score reports, transcripts, recommendation letters, etc) by September 25, 2009, we will try to make GT admission decisions by October 5, 2009, for Summer’2010 and Fall’2010 enrollment.
If you have satisfactory GRE scores but will not have the TOEFL score (minimum 79 – computer based) by September 25, 2009, you are still encouraged to apply online by September 25, 2009. We will make admission decisions soon after you have the TOEFL score report and assuming that all other application materials have been received.
SJTU assesses senior students (from SJTU or other top Chinese universities) for eligibility for direct-admission into the SJTU graduate school around early October. If your decision to accept the SJTU graduate school direct-admission offer is correlated with your admissibility to GT-Shanghai, then you are encouraged to apply to GT-Shanghai by September 25, 2009.
