Tuition and Fees
The current GT-Shanghai tuition is $400 per credit hour (in contrast, the GT-Atlanta out-of-state tuition is $990 per credit hour). In addition, a Technology Fee will be assessed to all students. The Technology Fee amount is set by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. For the 2008-2009 Academic Year, the Technology Fee is $103 per semester (in contrast, GT-Atlanta students pay $592 per semester on fees). Overall, GT-Shanghai students can expect to save approximately 60% on tuition and fees as compared to GT-Atlanta. The above tuition and fees should be paid to the Office of the Bursar at GT. Credit card and wire transfer are the two available payment options for Shanghai-based students. Except for the dual-MS degree program students, all other students are also required to pay a program fee in the amount of $300 per semester for academic and administrative support.

Most Chinese banks have to go through a correspondent or intermediary bank to wire transfer money to a US bank. The correspondent/intermediary bank deducts a fee (typically $15 to $18 per transaction) from the wire transfer amount. This is part of the fee that the sender (not the receiver) should pay. Please inquire with your bank the fee that the correspondent/intermediary bank will charge and add that to the wire transfer amount. This will ensure that when we receive the wire transfer, the amount will be sufficient to cover your tuition & fees. Note this is in addition to the fee that your bank charges you to send out the wire.
Following the execution of the transfer, please and cc: GT-Shanghai. Please include name of the sender, GTID, amount, and indicate that the money is for GT-Shanghai tuition & fees.
