Welcome
The Georgia Tech - Shanghai Initiative provides Georgia Tech (GT) students an exciting opportunity to live and study in rapidly growing China and gives Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) students the rare exposure to world-class education.
The Summer Program is the chance for Georgia Tech undergraduates to experience first-hand the ancient Chinese culture, the dynamic Shanghai economy, and the warm Chinese people. A range of courses are offered for degree credit. Field trips and group activities bring the students to some of the highlights. Since the students are housed on the SJTU downtown campus, they are just a doorstep away from the bustling city.
The Georgia Tech Masters degree program gives SJTU graduate students a chance to learn from top researchers in a western-style curriculum. They earn a degree that is recognized worldwide. Georgia Tech graduate students gain an extended exposure to China and the valuable multi-culture, multi-ethic experience that will help them participate and lead in the intellectual workforce. Since the courses are regular Georgia Tech courses leading towards a standard GT degree, students can switch between the Atlanta and Shanghai campuses as they desire.
All GT-Shanghai classes are taught in English.
